Los Angeles Real Estate Market Report: Jan to Jun YoY

Welcome to our new monthly real estate market report. We're tracking average price, average price per square foot, number of sales, and days on market in a number of Los Angeles area neighborhoods over the past 10 years. Let's dive into the numbers!

Comparing Jan to Jun 2020 price per square foot to the same period in 2019:

The greater Hancock Park area is seeing a 3% decrease in $/sq ft
Brentwood is down 3% as well
Santa Monica is down 9%
Hollywood Hills-Sunset Strip area is seeing a 6% increase
Silver Lake-Echo Park is up 4%
The Manhattan-Hermosa-Redondo Beach area is also up 4%

We see bigger changes in the number of home sales for the same period in 2019:

Brentwood sales are 34% lower than 2019
Manhattan-Redondo-Hermosa Beach home sales are down 33%
Hollywood Hills-Sunset Strip is down 25%
Hancock Park is down 21%
